Gender And Education

 

 

As part of our TY Religion curriculem we have been learning about girls education in Ireland and in other countries such as Etheopia, Afghanistan and Nepal. We all got together in groups and compared education in Ireland and another country. 

From this prject we got to see how many girls, in a wide age group don't get a substantial amount of education due to their cultures, religions and its avalibility to them. It was a good experience and a fun way to get to know how other girls in other countries learn and we get so see just how lucky we are to have a good education.

Two girls from our school are also going to Kenya in 2016 with 'Cara Projects' to help build schools for girls in Kenya. This is an amazing experience for them and it also allows us to support them in the world wide mission to educate all girls.
