Darkness Into Light

At 4:15 on Saturday May 7th, at hundreds of  locations around the world, thousands of people gathered to raise money for Pieta House.

This year TYs and their religion teachers were part of this amazing experience. They gave up their most prized commodity; sleep, to raise awareness about suicide.

Darkness into Light is an annual 5km walk/run that takes place in over 110 venues in Ireland and many more around the world. Darkness Into Light is the flagship fundraising and awareness event for Pieta House. Over the past 10 years Pieta House has worked with over 22,000 people in suicidal distress and those engaging in self-harm.

TYs completed the run in Maynooth along with 4500 other people. They all agreed it was unforgettable experience which they would love to take part in again!!
