Amber Flag Day 2015

On Friday the 4th of December St.Wolstans celebrated Amber Flag Day. It was a day full of activities to promote positive mental in our school!!!

All transition year students wore Amber clothes and the Amber Fairies handed out Amber wristbands asking people to show their support for the day.

The day started off with a call to be positive over the announcements from the TY students and the launch of this brand new Transition Year Religion Website. There was visit from Bridiea journalist from the local newspaper the Liffey Champion to document the whole day!

Ms. Smith the Deputy Principal spoke to all the TYs on how important it was to have a positive state of mind at school and wished the girls luck with the remainder of the day.

At lunch time there was a bake sale held in the hall in aid of Pieta House. Cakes flew off the shelf and over €400 was raised.

Face Painting took place in the library and music floated down the hallways from the amazing buskers who sang christmas carols and songs of positivity!

The favourite was the emoji boards. All year groups and even the teachers put a smile on there face and took a picture with their positive emoji

The day was a great success! Thank you to everyone who showed their support for Amber Day :)
