TY Development Education
What is Development Education?
Development Education is the study of the many issues that affect people throughout the world.
These issues include;
Poverty
Fair Trade
Diseases - HIV/AIDS/Malaria
Our aim is to learn about these issues and create awareness about these issues.
Our plan for Development Education in TY Religion:
October- Gender in Education
November / December - Poverty/ Homelessness in Ireland
January/ February -Mental health & positivity
March - Fair Trade
April/May - HIV/AIDS/Malaria in developing countries.
For our TY Religion Course this year we are studying development education.
In September we started researching about Gender in Education.
We were put into groups to research the differences between education for girls in Ireland and in the following developing countries:
Nepal
Uganda
Afhanistan
India
Ethiopia
